Introduction
USDT, also known as Tether, is a cryptocurrency founded by Tether Limited and issued on the bitcoin blockchain via Omni Layer. As the name suggests, each unit of USDT is tethered fiat currency and in this case, it is tethered to the U.S Dollar held in Tether Limited’s reserves at a 1:1 ratio.
This means that 1 USDT is equivalent to 1 USD.
USDT, just like any other coins, can be stored in wallets and used in transactions.
